Yasumasa Series

New figurative work inspired by the Japanese literary character Fujiwara no Yasumasa, this new series explores the legend of a desperate thief who intends to kill Yasumasa and take his clothes while he walks alone playing his flute.

Just as Yasumasa is about to be set upon, his attacker becomes captivated by the music and interrupts the assault. From the interaction of these two characters, a variety of shadowy images of exchange and transformation were developed.
There is no strict linear sequence of events, as one monotype image transforms to another.

The "Yasumasa Series" is a must see for both its artistic creativity and technical expertise.
