| Having worked in a broad range of media, I prefer to work as a mixed-media sculptor. My home
and studio are surrounded by grape vineyards, quiet surroundings, which enable me to create the
spiritually based art that is close to my soul. My symbolic imagery has been inspired by spiritual
perspectives from many cultures, influences of my travels. Combining wood constructions, each
construction sets the stage for the colorful paint, prints, bees-wax, bones, feathers, wire, beads
and other purposeful embellishments that create the enigma of my art. Important to the creative
process of adornment, the multiple shapes and detailing are of a repetitive nature. This act of
repetition has enabled me to arrive at a meditative state providing access to my inner self
resulting in personal revelations and enlightenment. Although the adorning symbolism is
personal, the images directly relate to the underlying message of each individual piece.
