| My work is an animated visual language that, I hope, emphasizes the beauty and possibility of drawing and painting, its gesture and the harmonic that is not owned by specific forms. There is no narrative. I am impressed with drawing’s ability to create convincing illusions. Expectations run high as we are attracted to or repelled by particular configurations of marks and the images portrayed by them. It is beneficial to remind that they are only marks, offered in limitless relationships to space and each other. I currently teach drawing at CSUFresno.
